Just another size comparison for those who were curious. As you can see from the photo the Forgeworld Phantom titan is a bit bigger. The Armorcast Phantom titan is on a base which gives it a bit more height.
Now all we need is for these two boys to fight each other...

MiniWarGaming Apocalypticon 2011
Had a lot fun here, and can't wait till next year. My plan was initially to film the whole event but my camera pooped out on me for some strange reason. But what I've got filmed is the before the game and a view of some of the armies...

Eldar Lynx
Well I recently acquired a Eldar Lynx for the big MiniWarGaming Apocalypse Event. I plan on having it painted... or mostly painted...Hope it doesn't get killed too quickly...
As you may notice I mounted on the acrylic rods that I use for the planes and other superheavies. I think it looks better flying higher...

Falcon Type 2.5
Here is a conversion I've been dying to make and finally finished. The conversion consists of a falcon chasis, Fire prism turret & vector engines, Forgeworld Falcon type 2 piece, and 2 Pulse laser barrels.
I've been thinking of making a Apoc rule for it, kinda like a mini scorpion...
Any ideas for a name? I looked up names for smaller scorpions... and DeathStalker is the only one I kinda liked.

Forgeworld Phantom vs Armorcast Phantom
Another comparison for those who care. I've yet to see these two models together, so here you go. The FW Phantom is not done yet but we can see the height difference. The Armorcast Phantom is also on a base that adds to the height as well... which still makes the FW model still taller. Can't wait to see this model finished...
The pelvis is at the same height as the chest of the old phantom...

Forgeworld Eldar Scorpion Type I & Type II
This is for anybody that has wondered 'which is bigger?" Well here you go, at first glance the type I appears to be bigger as it is a bit taller. The type II looks to be broader but doesn't have the high profile as the type I.
The type II has a lot more surface area. More like a puffed out cobra (snake not the model).
The type I weighs more though, early forgeworld models have big resin parts.

Eldar Terrain : Statues of Asurman
Here is some terrain I've been working on for my Eldar themed table.
These are the only pieces that will be like this, imitating design we already know.
The plan is to design completely new elements that still fit with eldar design....
Easier said than done!

Apocalypse Battle Report: Dark Angel vs Eldar
5000 point battle between the Saim Hann and the Dark Angels. The Eldar give the new Forgeworld rules a try... I'd have to play a few more games before I render a verdict.

Between paint sessions I like to play with my camera...
Once I get my backdrop issue solved I'll reshoot some of these...I need to get my table finished, so it doesn't look like my army is flying across someones lawn...

Forgeworld Eldar Vampire Hunter pt.3
Small update, the Vampire is assembled and ready to be primed. I've seen some out there that where not fully assembled for ease of painting... but I'd rather the model be strong than convenient.
Here is how I mount it: N24 magnet (same kind used on the Phoenix), and two brass pins for stability and strength. Simply drilled or bored out the space to fit the magnet and pins. No glue, tension keeps them in place.
Here is the mounting point on the Vampire. Carved out a space to fit the magnet, glued and greenstuffed. One minor detail though, the center of gravity is at the models weakest points. It's almost like no thought was given as to how a person was going to mount it.

Eldar Table pt. 1
Here is something I've been working on. This is just a test section for a much larger project. A Eldar themed modular board. This is a project between myself and a good friend, we've been planning this since September.
Here is the fun part... led illumination on the water. The water will play a big part of the board. Once we are producing the board sections I'll show the plans. So you all know what we are going for. Then the terrain, lots of fun planned for that as well.

Forgeworld Eldar Vampire Hunter pt.2
Small Update: The main Hull is glued and green stuff to fill in the gaps.
As I started to fill in the gaps I realized that some of the parts didn't line up right. I knew some of it would when I dry fit everything but... Green stuff to the rescue.
The edge from the head to the body was fine but I want it to look seamless, also added more from the wing section to the hull, feels more eldar.
Also did the same for the tail end of the wing, I didn't like how it just ends abruptly. It all looks a mess right now but when it's sanded it will look better... I hope.
Just more adding detail. The cockpit section was a greater width than the body so the is a 2 mm difference. I sculpted some extra plates to make it more seamless...

Forgeworld Eldar Vampire Hunter pt.1
As of right now this model is held together entirely by brass rod and tension. I used a 1 inch acrylic rod for the stem, which I've not seen anyone else try... It's a flyer! why not use something that is clear?
